Hello everyone and welcome to my second Halloween-themed video this year!

I’ve returned yet again with another fluorescent gourd, albeit a bit smaller, and a fresh set of carving tools to try my best in carving a hopefully legible hanging bat design into it!

As said in the video, I know I had posted on my TinglyTube wall that I probably wouldn’t do another pumpkin carving video this Halloween, but I just couldn’t resist seeing pumpkins all over the place, it seems like most people don’t carve them anymore, they just buy them and plop them on their porch, how boring!

As you’ll also see in the video, I had some difficulties with using the carving stencil this year, the Pumpkin Master’s book I got the stencil from suggested wetting the stencil and then applying plastic wrap over it, which does work, kind of, but the plastic wrap kept getting caught on the carving saw after a few cuts and so I decided to instead ‘transfer’ the stencil with a different method; using a push-pin to make an outline of the stencil and then carving it out like a dot-to-dot book, much easier! I now realize that is what the ice pick-like tool included in the carving kit is for…

Also, apologies for my arm being in the way during a lot of the carving, I didn't realize it!
