We all make mistakes, one of the most annoying being typos — which can be especially prevalent if you’re sleepy and tingling out to one of the many great videos on TinglyTube 😏 and to make things worse, previously you could only fix a typo by deleting and reposting your comment. What a sad world it was...
But now it's all sunshine and tingles again as we’ve introduced the ability to edit your comments (and replies!) at any time after posting, just press the three dots next to your comment (on PC you’ll need to hover over your comment before they'll show), select “Edit Comment”, and you’ll then be able to edit your comment and save it!
A few extra things to note about comment editing:
We’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new feature on TinglyTube that we’ve been working hard on for a little while now — Playlists! 🥳
(Example of a playlist by JJ15ASMR, containing all of his TinglyTube Exclusives)
Playlists allow you to create organized 'collections' or 'groups' of TinglyTube videos that you can assemble and organize to your liking, complete with their own title and description.
For example, if you're a creator, you can help your viewers find all of your tapping videos by putting them in their own playlist that will be displayed on your profile. Or if you're a viewer, instead of throwing every video that tingles you into your "Favorites" list, you can instead organize them into separate playlists based on the triggers in them, their creator, or however you'd like! It's all up to you.
You can also control who can see each playlist of yours by making it Public, Private, or “Only Me”, and whether or not any of your playlists are even shown at all on your profile (via your User Preferences).
Playlists also come with a few other tidbits (such as the "Play All" feature that automatically plays each video in that playlist one after another!), so to keep this announcement short and sweet, we've compiled everything that you need to know about creating, managing, and navigating your and others' playlists into this in-depth help article.
We hope that the addition of playlists makes your experience on TinglyTube much better, whether you're a creator, just a viewer, or both. As always, if you have any questions or feedback for us about Playlists or anything else on TT, please let us know via our Support/Feedback form. 😊
We recently fixed a bug where the age on your profile would be wrongly displayed as 53. This was due to the birth date input on the "Edit profile" page defaulting to 12/31/1969 when not filled in while editing your profile.
Along with this fix, we introduced two small updates related to the age/birthday input:
- You can now remove the birth date from your profile by clicking/tapping on the birth date input, selecting the "Clear" option in the bottom left corner of the date picker, and hitting the "Save" button.
- On the "User preferences" page, you now have the option to either hide or show your birthday which will be displayed in addition to your age on your profile.
And if you choose to show your birthday, then on your birthday, a message letting others know will be shown at the top of your profile :)
We hope that this fix and related updates make your experience on TinglyTube much better, and as always, if you have any questions, feedback, or have found a bug yourself, please let us know via our Support/Feedback form.
One of the most long-awaited features on TinglyTube is comment reply notifications, and as of today, they are finally a reality!
Anytime someone replies to your comment, whether it’s on a video, blog entry, wall, or even a site notice, you’ll be notified via email and bell so that you can keep the conversation going 😊.
And if you mention someone in your reply (such as when you reply to another reply), we’ll also notify them and the original commenter. You can also mention multiple usernames' as well and we'll notify them each! (Depending on their set notification preferences).
And just like normal comment notifications, you can also disable reply notifications if you'd like by going to your user preferences.
We hope that this improvement makes the social experience on TinglyTube much better :) And, as always, if you have any questions or need any help at all, please let us know via our Support/Feedback form.
Letting your viewers know that you care about them and what they have to say is the best way to create a lasting relationship with them so that they keep coming back to watch and engage with your content.
And to help with that, we’re excited to announce that you can now heart comments on your videos, blog posts, and wall!
Just click/tap the “Heart” button (next to the “Reply” button) under their comment and it will turn into a smaller version of your profile picture with a red heart overlayed on it to signify that it was hearted:
We'll also send them an email and bell notification (depending on their preferences) to let them know that you hearted their comment :)
We hope that this improvement makes engaging with your viewers even easier and more special. And, as always, if you have any questions or need some help, let us know via our Support/Feedback form.
